JS and Yoong Hui.

Unusually, on Thursday(Merdeka eve), I stayed back in office after office hours. Just taking time to think what to do on that night. Didn’t really have plans, well, actually I did have a plan, plan was to go back home, pack some stuff for the trip back on the next day and finish up some pending work. Maybe watch a movie or two on the PC. Anyways, had a couple of quick Dota game with Kenny and the bosses(JS, Jon and Yoong Hui) vs AI. As usual, lost to the cheating AI. Then Jon suggested to go out for a drink. Me and Kenny joined.

Headed to this place called Clear in Mont Kiara. Meet up with Jenn and Samantha who is already there. After some pizzas, game started. Drinks were poured and drank. Then everyone got a party popper thingy and pops the whole place over with shiny ribbons.

JS feeling woozy after a few drinks.

Well, there isn’t exactly a countdown, not on our tables anyways. We were too busy sitting around playing “chat pak kau” (789 in Cantonese), a drinking game where loser have to drink half the glass or the whole glass. After the countdown and some shots, almost everyone is feeling a lil bit tipsy. Then it’s balik(go home) time, it’s already 1am when reached home. I got to wake up early tomorrow to go back home to ol’ Melaka.

..
.
8.30am: The time I’m suppose to wake up but I overslept. Ouch~ Gotta rush, didn’t even pack yet. Sis arrived already when I was bathing. Shoot off to Melaka and reach around 11~12pm. Had a quick afternoon nap. Suppose to head out to dinner that night, but I overslept again! Whats wrong with me? Anyways, the plan was to go dinner with the usual Melaka gang at some place called Bamboo Hut, near the Stadhuys, or the clock tower area. Had time to walk around and took some pics:

The Stadhuy in its fully glory. Hehehe

Nice picture.. I don’t think I’ve ever taken a picture here even thought I’ve been living in Melaka for 24 years. Jeez.

The nice looking fountain in the middle of it all. Lots of tourist around.

Sin Lin, Jeremy and Chris talking about something.

They all suddenly stopped talking when they realise I took a picture of them.

After that, we went to makan makan(eat) at Bamboo Hut located somewhere near the clock tower. I ordered something called “Pollo..something…” which is chicken thigh fried in bread crumbs I think and under it is some kind of pasta with lotta vege. Pretty fancy name and it looks great. Taste is not bad too. Prices are quite reasonable considering the tourist location and food portions. Not a bad place to have dinner, nice ambience with live band, well, only one person band was playing that night.

Pollo..errr I can’t remember the rest of the name. Taste nice though.

After we had our fill, we went to jalan jalan(walk) at Jonker Walk. As usual it’s packed with people who looks like never been to Jonkey Walk before. Jonker Walk is actually just a street with stalls lined up all along the street selling all kinds of stuff, antique, new and old, weird and ordinary items. Plus the food like chicken rice ball ( I don’t know if it’s open at night, usually isn’t), cendol(yummy), noodles, western food and etc.

Jonker Walk, crowded as usual.

This Sifu here claims to be able to poke through 3 coconut using his index finger. He’s selling some massage oil. Eih, don’t play play, he holds a record in Malaysia Book of Record. Hehe.. Don’t believe? Go to Jonker Walk and see for yourself. Well, I didn’t stick around to take a picture of it. :P
