Last weekend, we planned for a getaway, to Yong Peng located in Johor. Yong Peng is famous for fish balls and yong tau foo. My brother said pottery products is also good there. Anyway, I’m not going for the pots but for BarBQ! My friend’s dad have access to a house there and we were going to check it out and at the same time have some good ol BBQ. Been a while since we had one.

And so, right after work, went off to meet Kiwi @ KLCC. We then head back to Melaka that very night. Reached around 11 something.

The next day, 9 of us meet up at Kiwi house, and 2 cars left for the highway.

And off we go!

About 1 hour plus, we arrived in Yong Peng. This is my first time here, everything is looking good. Yong Peng is a typical town, with rows of shops and all those things a town have. All the time, we were following a friend’s car because he knows the way around here. And it’s about lunch time, so I was wondering if we were gonna have lunch first before heading to the house.

This round of BBQ is superb, mainly cos of the location and food. We used a special sauce to marinate the chickens and also the addition of new recipe of kebabs. I’m stuffed and happy. Too stuffed in fact, until I had a killer stomach ache since that night itself for the next 2 days. But I will surely do it again!
