And so here I am. Finally in Singapore. Phew, this is gonna be a long post.

A bit of history… I tried applying for a job in Singapore 2 years ago, but didnt make it. So after 2 years, with nothing to hold me back in Malaysia, I’ve decided to just go for it and leap right into the lion’s den(literally..lol)

My last dinner in KL, before coming back here again.. A Jap pasta place in 1U serving quite nice pasta’s, burgers & other nice food. I cant seem to recall the name tho..

The last supper..in KL..for a long while la.. not say not gonna come back here..

And.. the next day, my bus to Singapore at 12pm. A five hour journey from Bandar Utama to Harbourfront, Singapore.

I myself, lugging one trolley bag, one laptop bag and another sports bag.. which is not really enjoyable to say the least. Well, only once right?

Anyway, I reached Singapore at around 5 o clock, took at cab and headed straight to the flat where I was going to stay with 3 other guys from unis.

The flat, was partially furnished, with washing machine, fridge, a couple of plastic chairs, table, and newly renovated interiors. So all we had to do was to get bed, mattress, more tables(for the pc’s), comfy chairs for the geeks we are(that we will spend most of the time at home either sitting in front of the pc or sleeping). So comfy chair is a must..(or else how to owning!! hehe)

Yummy, spring mattress… its what every good night sleep needs..

The first night, there we’rent any mattress, so have to sleep on the floor lor.. wah lao..never ever do that man.. the next day my body damn aching…The next day only the mattress will arrive, so have to endure one nite of hard sleeping, but its not that I’ve not done so before. Anyway, the next day, I’ll be sleeping on comfy mattress all night long, yeah baby..hehe..

Bed kinda messy..dont mind that…huhuhu~ This room Im sharing with another friend, so each room is occupied by 2 person. The three stooges plus me in da house!

A temporary set up for work/play until we go furniture hunting on the weekend..

Kitchen & toilet area, equipped with a decent fridge, washing machine & bathroom.

Enjoying dinner at food court in Tiong Bahru Plaza. Well, its slightly pricey as it is in an aircon place. Food is so so..

Lots of people tho.. well in Singapore everywhere is crowded.. quite sien sometimes..queues everywhere!!

And so after a couple of trips to furniture stores & ikea. We got our chairs, tables, fan, some mat, makeshift curtains, mirror, and other essential items (like a mug for myself which Im missing)

Anyway, housemates uncle have some furniture to give away and so we hired a truck to transport the goods back to our place. As it turns out, theres 5 of us including the driver, and there’s only 3 seats in front. And trust me, IT IS a damn long way back including 3 train transits that is about an hour journey. Well heck, we’ll just put some people in the truck container.

Seeming that I like to try stuff that I’ve not before, I decided to jump in the back of the truck with well, another housemate.(im not gay)

So this is the exclusive inside view of a moving truck.

Looking around, I just see some tools, pretty empty basically cos we didnt transport that many stuff..

Some people just cant sit still, even inside a moving truckk..hehehe..

Anyway, we arrived safely without any incident, been an small experience, I was expecting it to be completely dark inside but turns out there was a light. Guess I’ll have to try another lorry for the dark experience.

A view from the walkway outside my unit. Pretty shaded and close to the main road.

Intersection of roads..Quite alot of buses go throught this road.. so it’s pretty convenient to go around.

Heading for lunch

On the way to lunch, we spotted an Autobot car. So much for robot in disguise!!!

Back to the house, my work/play desk, shared with Song who generously spared some space on his super looong table.

My comfy white ikea chair, cost me 98 dollars. for me ouch la.. but a comfy chair IS really necessary for resting my butt.. oh well.

Just a laptop, external hard disk, my trusty wacom, mouse and headphones. Enough to get me by doing grunt work and watching movies.

A closer view, yea messy I know I know..

Overall, there’s some change of lifestyle ever since I got here. There’s been plenty of walking. More frequent exercise, more orange juices intake, more coffee intake, more waking up earlier, a lil bit more stressful, a changed perspective, cheaper (relatively) food, where in KL I spend about 3-4 ringgit for a meal but here the same kind of meal cost maybe 2-3 dollars. And stuff like shirts, shoes and etc are of course cheaper dollar to dollar, so its looking pretty good so far. I’ve not really gone shopping yet(already bought 2 shirts) but that day will come (more retail theraphying) until then…phew penat aku..damn its 2 am…hopefully can wake up tomorow..
