Bad Dodo

It’s been a while that I’ve updated. Been busy with my job, late nights (sometimes up to 4am), and a general lack of things to write. Anyway, just came back from dinner at Curve with a friend, who shall remain nameless at this point in time (you know who you are). I’ve always said that I would like to try a ciggy at least once before I die, and tonight, I did. Twice. Haha.

Anyway, met up with Pev in Ikano after dinner. I’ve been looking for a camera lately, my current one is approaching 4 years old, and I need to replace it. Been looking at the Canon S5 (costs RM 1.8k at launch). Saw it priced at 1.3k last week in 1U, but Pev called me up and said they are selling it cheaper in Ikano (some promo by Harvey Norman). So I got my self this, for RM 1199, witha huge tripod, 4GB card, screen protector and 2 bags. Retail therapy, works everytime.

Eye on Malaysia

Uncategorized 1 Comment »

On the 11th of December, it was a public holiday where I work. So decided to visit the giant ferris wheel located in Titiwansa Lake Gardens. Called Eye on Malaysia, it was specially constructed for Visit Malaysia 2007, and also because of our 5oth independence. Since they are going to take it down at the end of the year, I had better go and check it out before it was too late. Been wanting to visit since I’ve heard of it, but can’t find the time/company. Anyway, this is how it looked liked at night.

I went there during the day, had lunch first, then left PJ at about 12.30pm. Took me about 2 hours just to get to the place, due to the stupid police blocking the roads and causing massive jams. Apparently, some ppl wanted to hand over some memorandum to the Parliment, so the cops blocked the roads leading to there. I took a pic of the jams, somewhere in Damansara Heights.

Anyway, got to Titiwangsa in one place. My first time to the place, basically a huge lake surrounded by parks.

You can see the Petronas twin towers in the background.

Tickets costs RM 15 for adults, and for that, you get a 15 minute ride, basically 4 spins around it. From the top, you can view the whole of KL city centre. I even managed to see Batu Caves, which is about 7 km away.

Just incase anyone decides to install a giant ferris wheel in their backyard, you can contact this guy.

After we were done, the heavens opened up. Well, all I can say is that I was expecting something more, but at least I can say I’ve been there, done that.

BBQ in Yong Peng

Uncategorized No Comments »

Meant to write this sooner, but due to time constraints…. so here goes. On the 27 of October, a group of friends and me went to yong peng. The idea was to have a go at some famous yong peng fishballs, and then put up a night at a very old bunglow deep inside a palm oil plantation. We also planned to have a BBQ there. So at around 11am on that Saturday, we left for young peng, which is about 1 hours drive away. Read the rest of this entry »

Still Alive

It’s been a while since i’ve updated my blog, but work has been piling up lately. On most nights, i’ve been reaching hom at about 10 pm, and for the past 2 weekends, i was in Malacca. The days when i was home by 5.30 is now over. If i can leave work before 8pm, that’s considered early. Hopefully i’ll find time to update my previous post. Right now, i don’t even have time to go out for dinner with my friends, which i used to do at least twice a week last time. Ah well, it’s nearing the end of the year, and the holidays are coming, so i’ll make it up then.
