On the 11th of December, it was a public holiday where I work. So decided to visit the giant ferris wheel located in Titiwansa Lake Gardens. Called Eye on Malaysia, it was specially constructed for Visit Malaysia 2007, and also because of our 5oth independence. Since they are going to take it down at the end of the year, I had better go and check it out before it was too late. Been wanting to visit since I’ve heard of it, but can’t find the time/company. Anyway, this is how it looked liked at night.

I went there during the day, had lunch first, then left PJ at about 12.30pm. Took me about 2 hours just to get to the place, due to the stupid police blocking the roads and causing massive jams. Apparently, some ppl wanted to hand over some memorandum to the Parliment, so the cops blocked the roads leading to there. I took a pic of the jams, somewhere in Damansara Heights.

Anyway, got to Titiwangsa in one place. My first time to the place, basically a huge lake surrounded by parks.

This is how the ferris wheel look like in the day

You can see the Petronas twin towers in the background.

Tickets costs RM 15 for adults, and for that, you get a 15 minute ride, basically 4 spins around it. From the top, you can view the whole of KL city centre. I even managed to see Batu Caves, which is about 7 km away.

Just incase anyone decides to install a giant ferris wheel in their backyard, you can contact this guy.

After we were done, the heavens opened up. Well, all I can say is that I was expecting something more, but at least I can say I’ve been there, done that.
